Job Title: Aircraft Technical Instructor (Mechanical) at DSAE Cosford, Wolverhampton, WV7 3EX.

Contract is ongoing as per Customer requirements. Working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year, paying £21.96 per hour Ltd / £17.63 per hour PAYE.

The successful candidates will be responsible to the Aircraft Training Manager for classroom and practical instruction on a topic within the aircraft discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material. Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

Previous experience as a Trainer/Instructor is preferred for this position but consideration may be given to applicants with an extensive aircraft background as an Airframe Fitter/Propulsion Fitter.

Candidates must have served a recognised apprenticeship (or a relevant alternative period of training) and have obtained an ONC, BTEC or NVQ in the Airframe/Engineering Trade Discipline.

Candidates should have at least 5 years practical experience in their trade.

The successful applicant will have to apply for Scottish Disclosure Certificate and undergo an MOD Security Clearance check.
