My client are looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join their Structures Team, the successful candidate will be responsible to the Project Manager - Structures, and will be employed on the compilation of complete design and certification projects involving aircraft structural modifications or the introduction of new cabin interior configurations. In addition, you may also be engaged in modifications for the installation of avionic equipment, the application of revised external liveries, and the design of aircraft repair schemes.

Candidate requirements

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

The candidate will have completed either an aerospace degree course or apprenticeship.

They will have a minimum of three years' experience in the design office of an approved aerospace Design Organisation, working on aircraft structures and cabin interiors, including avionic equipment installations, livery drawings, and interior seating configurations.

They should have gained an understanding of the requirements of EASA Part 21 Sub-part J which regulates the processes and procedures by which my client, as an EASA approved Design Organisation, undertake all of the work that we do.

They should also be familiar with EASA Certification Requirements and ideally, will have some experience of compiling certification compliance documentation, such as Certification Plans, Compliance Records and Modification Summaries or Engineering Orders, in accordance with current EASA requirements.

Some experience of compiling Stress and Weight and Balance Reports would also be an advantage.
