MPI have a requirement for an Aircraft Quality Engineer to be based at Lee on Solent, Hampshire. PO13 9FU
As a Quality Engineer, you will be expected to provide a proactive, competent and professional approach with the Approved Maintenance Organisation and the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation, to assure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in accordance with the Company Aviation's approvals, develop the Quality Management System and promote measurable effectiveness and continuous improvement across the Company and to lead and drive process improvements as required.
Full time - 40 hours per week - Offering a salary package of £32,000 per annum
The Company provides EASA pt 145 and Part M facilities to operators of all marks of Islander and Defender A/C.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager in order to maintain independence from the work performed within the business:
Ensuring that The Company Av meet all quality outputs as laid down by the customer, CAA and current company policies.
Membership of an accredited professional body would be an advantage.
Internal auditing to ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System are implemented and maintained to meet:
•EASA part 145 approval.
•CAMO (Part M Sub Part G).
•Imposed requirements by the customer.
To independently audit inspection tasks, pre and post Flight activities for Civil Aircraft.
To Support Maintenance Management and Supervision to ensure Product Quality Standards are maintained and Products and Services conform to Approved Data, Contractual Requirements and procedures.
Audit and monitor performance of suppliers and sub-contractors.
To perform monthly Regulatory update checks to maintain compliance and to alert Management to any changes that might have an impact on the business.
When required, update the Exposition and associated procedures. On a regular basis perform independent product audits.
Coordination, design and planning of Quality Control Tasks.
To maintain a Regulatory Compliance register and conduct monthly audits iaw the Quality Management System.
Assisting in the development of new Procedures and Plans and any continuation training that may arise.
Be the focal point for and the driving force behind any planned audits by the Regulator.
Coaching the Company Av personnel in the completion of Non-Conformance & Defect Investigations and assisting in implementing any quality improvements.
Actively engaging with and supporting the Companies Safety Management System.
Develop professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies. Undertake training as appropriate in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.
To log and progress both Internal Occurrence and Non-Conformance Reports.
Conduct audits on internal and external suppliers and sub-contractors.
Achieve and strive to exceed productivity levels as set out by the Company.
Adhere to Limitations of Authority.
