Mechanic

Coventry/ East Midlands

£24,690 + £3000 shift premium (7 on 7 off)

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of Europe's leading cargo airlines. The role involves maintaining a fleet of B737CL and ATP aircraft based initially at Coventry Airport. There is a set shift pattern in place and you will report to the shift supervisor.

 

You will

  • Have completed a time served apprenticeship or equivalent aircraft mechanic training
  • Preferably hold current EWIS, FTS and HF certificates but not essential
  • have recent experience with B737CL and /or Bae ATP aircraft
  • possess good verbal and written English
  • be highly motivated

 

Duties

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks as directed on various aircraft systems on both ATP and Boeing 737 aircraft
  • Assist licensed aircraft engineer with aircraft recovery
  • Some travel within the UK and Europe is required from time to time
  • Maintain good engineering practices in all work carried out
  • Accurate electronic time booking, or manual means when appropriate, reflecting work done on the worksheet or job card item
  • Ensure all parts and materials fitted to an aircraft or aircraft component are accompanied by the correct serviceable tags to confirm traceability, and respective batch numbers are entered on job cards or worksheets
  • Ensure serviceable parts removed are appropriately labelled and routed to the correct quarantine area in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are complied with and report deficiencies in hangar equipment, stands, trestles, jacks, lifting tackle and ground handling equipment to the Hangar Manager through their Maintenance Supervisor
