***************This Job is located Overseas***************The Inspector performs the receiving, in-process, final inspection and/or functional operational tests of Aircraft Mechanic I, II, III completed maintenance. Approves or rejects final project to ensure compliance with standards. Will be responsible for ensuring an effective FOD program is in effect. Performs analysis of defects and interprets quality rejection and failure trends. The Inspector has freedom and authority to control further processing of non-conforming parts and materials until deficiencies are corrected. Ensures the organization addresses non-conforming activities, maintains records of quality problems and assists the organization in formulating a plan to correct non-conformities. Later investigates to verify that the solution has met criteria of the applicable Technical manual or related Technical material. May also perform quality and safety related administrative functions such as: training, recordkeeping, tool control and ensuring TMDE has current calibration status. The Inspector must have current working knowledge of forms and records IAW DA PAM 738-751. The incumbent must possess basic knowledge of airframe, electrical, mechanical, avionics, hydraulics and flight control systems. ULL-A)E) experience is a must.Performs quality audits of all sections of the maintenance complex.Performs aircraft weight and balance as required.Performs aircraft debriefing duties as needed.Performs aircraft MISHAP reporting.Performs Material Deficiency Reporting documentation as required for submittal.Performs guidance on technical matters for the aircraft.Ensures proper execution of FAA Form 337.Records all inspection maintenance activities in the appropriate logbook.Enters Service bulletins and Airworthiness Directives into the customer's database.Performs vendor audits as required. Coordinates field approvals, FAR interpretation, etc with the FAA.Exhibits positive courteous behavior with customers, businesses, and coworkers.Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.Military or commercial aviation terminology; and U.S.Goverment regulations for Federal Contractors and FAA Maintenance programs.This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Incumbent performs other job-related tasks as assigned and required; Any duties/tasks included in the employee's performance evaluation elements are essential to that employee's position within the job classification.Working Conditions: May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold, wind and extremely high noise levels. This position requires normal physical functions. Will be required to comply with safety requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures Manual. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, where applicable. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions. May be exposed to moderate discomforts such as heat, cold, and in dirty, noisy environments. Wearing of safety shoes and glasses required.Prior Army Aviation Experience is preferredAdditional Qualifications: Tools required.
