Job Title: Mechanics
Immediate start, Caerphilly, South Wales NP12 2EU
3 months +, currently working up to 50 hours
The role would be days initially but could end up working shifts due to workload. to be confirmed.
Limited Company - £17.00 per hour, PAYE £13.65 per hour
Candidates MUST have a valid Human Factors Certificate, relevant apprenticeship papers / City & Guilds Level 3, or NVQ Level 3 certificates.
Working on reversers & nacelles
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
To have awareness and understanding of their personal development plan.
To achieve a good job and business system knowledge in own work area & be capable of on-the-job training of other employees. Expected to expand this knowledge to other areas of the facility and to mentor others.
To achieve and use the qualifications/approval levels required, to include but not limited to;
May be required to hold a secondary skill for area, function or shift coverage.
Where the job enables, there is a requirement to be approved and using the level of NA Stamp', Authorised Tradesperson.
At Management request, in-line with the Business needs, there is a requirement to be approved and performing the function of a minimum of one of the following; (1) Section Leader (2) Signatory (3) Evaluator(4) Specialist skills (e.g. QCI, Senior machinist or tooling)
To perform tasks to required standards of the Maintenance Repair Overhaul and/or Production of aircraft components;
Quality achievement (e.g. rework, warranty, accuracy).
Cost achievement (e.g. hours & materials usage).
Delivery schedule achievement and show planning and visibility.
Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of documentation (including required stamping).
Ensure parts identification & control (including but not limited to WIP, additional parts, returns, etc).
To support and drive projects and drive Continuous Improvement activities
To be flexible to business needs, to include but not limited to;
Support requested shift swaps in line with company policies.
Prepared to travel (e.g. AOG) and work a reasonable amount of overtime as required by business needs.
Carry out any other duties which might be reasonable expected by management, or temporarily stand in for other personnel when necessary (exception of approval levels).
To show teamwork and the ability to work independently and expected to lead work or project teams and to mentor others in a structured environment to achieve team results.
To be able to communicate and presentable to interact with people at all levels of the business and outside the Company.
To ensure full compliance and maintenance of standard operating procedures, to include but not limited to;

NORDAM Health, Safety and Environment (NHSE)
NORDAM Procedure Air Legislation (NPAL)
NORDAM Process Specification (NPS)

Local departmental desk top or processes instructions
Including ensuring references and links in place between Policies
To show safety awareness and adherence to safe working practices;
Use of Personal Protective Equipment at all times when required.
Visual inspection of potential hazards in the general area and prior to starting any work.
Raise up and follow up on continuous or serious non compliances/risks.
Maintain house keeping by inspection and cleaning/maintenance of work tools and the work area including shutdown of facilities and equipment.
To maintain NORDAM standard levels for attendance and timekeeping.
Skills and Special Attributes:
Expected with training to show proficient mechanical skills to perform NORDAM's core skills process/support areas, bonding and mechanical assembly as required.
Expected to show proficient use of equipment, tools, machinery and computers as required.
Able to work in a workshop and office environment.
Organised and able to follow instructions with precision and attention to detail.
Able to perform company duties under deadlines and handle multiple priorities whilst ensuring there is no risk of injury to self or others or to the airworthiness of the product.
