Description of the job

A vacancy for a Customer Marketing (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Blagnac. You will join Marketing Department.

Airbus Marketers have a deep understanding of our markets and products. They are close to and interact with our customers around the world on a wide range of specialist and generic topics that contribute to aircraft sales.
Behind every aircraft deal, there is a team of marketers who have worked to understand the market, build the right aircraft solutions and develop campaign approaches.
This is a team of people who work relentlessly in a very competitive environment to positioning Airbus products as winners and value generators for our customers.
Our understanding of evolving market requirements helps shape our future aircraft developments to keep Airbus at the leading edge of aviation.
You will follow an induction program that develops marketing competences and introduces the ways of working in the Commercial Directorate.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of all aspects of the aviation market and airline’s requirements, from global and regional aviation market trends, airline business drivers, evolving fleet and network requirements, revenue and profit generation models, and the markets competitive environment,
  • Identifying the most suitable aircraft solutions for our customers’ commercial and operational market environment, and demonstrate to the market players how the Airbus solutions will enhance their business,
  • Demonstrating that the Airbus solution is superior over alternatives in the market place in meeting customer’s market requirements today and tomorrow – in generating profitability, in allowing a customer to execute its strategy, to gain a competitive edge – through analysis and argumentation development covering a wide range of subjects: performance, economics, passenger product, revenue generation, fleet planning, traffic analysis, finance etc…,
  • Presenting to and interacting with customer audiences up to the highest management levels,
  • Being the voice of the customer in Airbus - Capture evolving market requirements and to provide guidance for product development strategies, enabling value-driven product innovation

This role will involve frequent travel for business worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or in Business Administration
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Airline (Corporate/Fleet/Network planning)
  • Strong analytical skills,
  • Strong communication and presentation skills,
  • Strategic thinking & pro-activity
  • Aviation Interest,
  • Customer minded,
  • Creative and Innovation spirit
  • Ability to manage complex projects and with a strong desire to represent Airbus in the market place,
  • Team spirit,
  • Language Skills: negotiation level of English, any other language would be a plus
