Your resposibilities
  • Stress / fatigue analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
  • Definition, pre-dimension and final calculation of structural elements in cooperation with the design team
  • Conduct FEM analyses for the part dimensioning as well as validation of the calculations
  • Calculation of fatigue tolorances
  • Conduct stress analyses and investigations of installations
  • Technical responsibility of projects within a work package as well as monitoring and working together with foreign suppliers
  • Creation of certification reports according to GL guidelines, DIN, Eurocode, and ASME
  • Creation of approval documents
Your qualifications
  • Successfully completed university degree with a focus on mechanical engineering, aerospace, or similar, specializing in stress and/ or fatigue analysis
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in development, certification, or Repair necessary
  • Comprehensive knowledge in stress analysis of composite and metal parts using the finite element method and extensive knowledge of other stress or fatigue analysis methods
  • Experience in common stress analysis tools and methods in the aerospace industry (e.g. Nastran/Patran, ISSY, ISAMI, DYNFEST, SAFE, HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, etc.),
  • Experience with competently handling customers and suppliers
  • First contact with common aerospace guidelines an advantage (CS25, FAR25)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills beneficial
  • Self-motivated and team-orientated work ethic, excellent communication and conflict management skills
