FPS Aviation are currently seeking a Pratt and Whitney LEAD AERO ENGINE TECHNICIAN with PT6C or PW200 experience for prestigious client. The role will be a permanent role based in UAE.  

On offer will be an attractive tax free salary and benefits.

Preference will be shown to candidates who are already reside in the UAE




Carry out repairs, overhauls and refurbishments of aircraft engines and/or components in line with customer requirements and manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved. To undertake approved signatory duties and provide technical back up to Engineers which may involve field support.





  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Experience in Pratt and Whitney engine overhaul 
  • Experience in the aircraft industry
  • PC literate



    Roles and responsibilities 


  • Check in and strip engines/components/products in line with engineering instructions
  • Carry out basic cleaning of components as appropriate
  • Inspect all relevant components and identify items for scrap, rework or refit using product information and OEM

      manuals in accordance with company procedures and Quality Manuals

  • Ensure all components for rebuilding are to required specifications and available within agreed turn time targets
  • Build unit to defined standard ensuring fit, clearance and modification levels are accurate
  • Prepare/set up unit for testing 
  • Test unit and ensure all agreed checks are actioned
  • Carry out final checks on completed unit ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stamped
  • Liaise with external customer to rectify irregularities in paperwork/ confirm product status before rework begins
  • Calculate the life of life limited components and carry out log book survey as part of the contract review
  • Act as authorised signatory for releasing finished project
  • Produce work instruction in line with Log Book requirements, OEM specs and Customer Special Requirements
  • Deal with customer queries and take appropriate action
  • Liaise with Production Department to agree realistic turn round times and promised delivery dates
  • Ensure administration procedures and processes are actioned
  • Track project progress and generate reports and correspondence
  • Provide technical/engineering support and advice to customers during Field Service visits





  • Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations
  • Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP)
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
  • Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
  • Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder.  Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external departments
