There is currently a huge demand worldwide for professionally qualified travel staff, particularly those who have been professionally trained to deal with the complexities of international airline ticket sales. The CTHCM Diploma in Travel Agency Management has been specifically designed to provide for this segment of the job market and gives comprehensive training in the management, computing, and airline ticketing skills that are required by the industry. Virgin Atlantic approved instructors use course materials and study manuals prepared by the airline to teach fares and ticketing skills up to IATA Level 2 standard and the sophisticated Galileo Computerised Reservation System to full Virgin Atlantic ‘competency’ level. This gives the student the maximum 30 IATA training points. The course is particularly suited to those who would eventually like to open their own travel agency but can also be used for employment by travel agencies, tour operators and all airlines (not just Virgin Atlantic).
