The duration of each module is one day and the course fee is £125 (+vat) per delegate. The course includes folder, course notes, provision of trainers/speakers, tea/coffee, light lunch and training provider certificate of attendance.

Virgin Atlantic Level 1 - Part Time Course placed on: 18/09/2002
This course provides the basic skills required for employment in the fares and ticketing sectors of the air travel industry and leads to 10 IATA points. Anybody with a reasonable standard of secondary education is eligible for admission, subject to satisfactory interview. Syllabus Airline geography IATA areas and sub-areas City and airline encode/decode Flight arrangements Issue of 2/4 coupon tickets, MCO for pre-paid ticket advise Baggage allowances and excess charges Normal and special fares, add on fares Ticket taxes Mileage system using mileage deductions/surcharges Linear fare quote formation and interpretation BSP accounting and ticket control CRS and automation in the travel industry Qualifications 10 IATA points plus eligibility for Associate Membership of the Institute of Travel and Tourism Designatory letters: A.M.I.T.T. On completion of Virgin Atlantic Level I students are encouraged to continue their training to advanced level on the Virgin Atlantic Level II course. In a competitive job market there is an increasing tendency for prospective employers to stipulate that priority will be given to Level II holders.
