CTCHM Advanced Diploma in Tour Operation

CTCHM Advanced Diploma in Tour Operation placed on: 18/09/2002

In recent years the fastest growing sector of the travel business has been the “package holiday” market, where the elite of the industry, the tour operators, provide complete holidays (including flights, hotel room and excursions) at a price which is often lower than the normal return air fare. The tour operators do this by chartering their own aircraft, block-booking hotel accommodation and negotiating group rates for leisure activities – thus providing the benefits of economies of scale for their customers and, of course, enormous profit potential for themselves. The Advanced Diploma in Tour Operation course has been specifically designed to provide the specialist skills that are needed at this level and should be considered as a logical second year study option for holders of the Diploma in Travel Agency Management.
